EVOLVh has Landed in Australia at Clean Beauty Market!

We've officially landed on the Gold Coast! You can now shop EVOLVh online and in person at Clean Beauty Market, Australia's go-to destination for the best clean beauty products from around the world.

Founded in September 2017, Clean Beauty Market is the brainchild of Erin Norden, an expert in all things related to clean beauty. Erin has worked as a freelance makeup artist for over 15 years and has tried and tested hundreds of brands and products in her ongoing quest to find the very best. She has transitioned her professional and personal products to more natural and sustainable alternatives and has brought her expertise to Clean Beauty Market where she has thoughtfully curated a selection of luxury, cruelty-free, high-performance, and cult clean beauty products.

To celebrate our launch, we chatted with Erin to learn more about Clean Beauty Market, her EVOLVh favorites, and more!

We would love to hear more about your story. Why is clean beauty important to you and what inspired you to launch The Clean Beauty Market?

As a makeup artist and beauty lover, I had always endeavored to use more natural and cruelty free products. I found really great efficacious brands so hard to source in Australia, let alone in a physical store where we could go and shop them in person. In 2017, I took a chance and decided to create the space I had always wanted for myself with the hope that other people would want it to. I love being able to share brands of such integrity that have an emphasis on both natural quality ingredients and sustainability without sacrificing performance.

How did you establish the standards and values for the brands you carry?

Being a makeup artist and wanting the very best for my clients and myself, I have always had a keen interest in ensuring everything I’m using is quality, safe, natural and sustainable. I’ve been on that journey for over 15 years now. When it came time to source brands for the store, that knowledge naturally informed the curation. Of course, there’s been lots to learn along the way. What has and will always remain is our commitment as a business to always choose brands that hold themselves to a high standard in terms of ingredients, sustainable practices, innovation and performance.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of owning a small business and sharing it with your community?

It’s definitely had its ups and downs like most small businesses! It is such a lovely feeling to have people visit our store from all over the country genuinely so excited to be there. To have people fall in love with brands and products and trust us with their beauty choices is a true honor.

You are located in the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia! What are some of your favorite activities or places you recommend visitors explore?

The Gold Coast is a beautiful place, I live in the Hinterland (lots of kangaroos and koalas in the backyard!) but the beaches are absolutely incredible and a must-see. Burleigh Beach is right across the road from our store. There are also some amazing bush walks and waterfalls to visit. We are so lucky here with amazing weather and scenery, I definitely don’t take it for granted.

How do you incorporate sustainability into your daily life? Are there any sustainable products or tips that you can share with us?

We grow our own vegetables, buy organic produce locally, and have been trying our best to buy less of everything and shop small. Sometimes you wonder as one person if you’re doing enough but even small changes can make a big difference overall. Refillable products are a great way to save on packaging, I love our refillable makeup options and there are more and more brands coming out with refills to make it easier to make this change.

What are some of your favorite self-care practices to relax and take care of yourself?

I love to sauna, get an early night and a good nights sleep. I’m not much of a drinker and I don’t go out late at night much because I really love having those few hours for myself before bed to have a cup of tea and read or watch a movie. I think many business owners can related to a constant feeling of being “on” so I really have to remind myself to have a proper day off and switch off for periods otherwise I feel quite mentally exhausted.

We are absolutely so honored to have EVOLVh with us! I am absolutely blown away by the InstaVolume Cleaning Treatment (Step 1). When I was reading about the product, I saw that a conditioner was not required after using and I must admit, I was skeptical. However, my hair has been absolutely amazing with just this product, no conditioner. So many people have commented on how voluminous and bouncy it is now. It’s fine, very long but lots of it!
My eldest daughter has dry thick curly hair and the WonderBalm Magic for Curls is absolute magic on her hair. No more frizz and the curls are so defined.
My youngest daughter has very fine straight hair that gets tangled easily and the Leave-In Conditioners are amazing and they don’t weigh her hair down. We are big fans of EVOLVh in our house!

My biggest hair regret: going super dark, it didn’t suit me at all.
My biggest hair tip: Hair oil! I use the EVOLVh Better Roots Scalp + Hair Oil prior to washing.
