EVOLVher Spotlight: Meet Dr. Stephanie Peacock, Functional Wellness Doctor

Meet Dr. Stephanie Peacock! A functional wellness doctor that specializes in SIBO, SIFO & Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. She is located in Dana Point, California and is the founder of an online clinic where she sees patients virtually. Dr. Steph is very passionate about helping people after her own chronic SIBO and mold illness journey. For the majority of her life she competed as an Olympic level swimmer and she currently loves to stay active. Some of her favorite hobbies include surfing, hiking, camping and plant based baking!

We are  grateful to call Dr. Steph an EVOLVher and chatted to learn more about her hair, favorite product, and what she's been loving to cook up during fall!

Why is clean beauty important to you?
Clean beauty is important to me because so much of our exposure to chemicals comes from what we put on our skin! Many patients I see have been using products laden with many hormone and gut disrupting chemicals that contribute to chronic health symptoms. It’s so important to reduce our exposure as much as we can, and support amazing companies looking to create safe and clean beauty products.

What is your hair type?
I have very curly hair!

What are your hair concerns?
The problem I have always had with haircare is find a good quality mousse and gel that will let my curls be free but not frizzy.

What is your favorite EVOLVh product, and how do you use it in your routine?
My favorite EVOLVh product is the InstaVolume Volumizing Mousse! I use it daily after I shower in the mornings, then I will blow dry my hair.

I love seeing your easy, healthy recipes. Do you have a favorite fall recipe that you have been loving that also supports gut health?
Thank you! I love making a delicious buddha bowl with a pumpkin tahini dressing for the fall vibes. The bowl usually consists of tofu, brown rice, steamed vegetables, steamed honeynut or kobucha squash plus the dressing recipe.

Pumpkin tahini dressing:
 cup pumpkin puree
¼ cup tahini
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
½ teaspoon garlic powder
pinch of salt
4 tablespoons filtered water
