Here’s Exactly How I Use These Products For Best Results:


Wash with the InstaVolume Cleansing Treatment. 


Flip my head upside down and spritz liberally with the InstaVolume Leave-In Conditioner. As I have mentioned before, this part is the most important as this is when you want to clump your curls, prior to applying the styling products. So I add water or additional sprays as needed and squish and pulse towards my scalp to get the clumps I want.


Once I have nice clumps, then I apply 1 pump of the InstaVolume Mousse to the root area, and then another pump distributed through the lengths.


Then I add about a nickel size of the TotalControl Styling Crème. I rake, scrunch, and pulse up from the ends and take my time to ensure it spreads out evenly. I keep scrunching and pulsing up to my scalp.


Then for a little extra definition, softness, and shine I apply about a dime sized pump of the WonderBalm by glazing it over and scrunching it in.

"No need for a regular conditioner with this line. This elixir is a leave-in conditioner to be used after the cleansing treatment. I was honestly skeptical at first, but it works!


Spritz this all over, comb through, and leave it in. It softens, detangles, balances pH, provides heat protection, and boosts volume. Let it sit a bit before moving on to styling.


It’s nowhere near as moisturizing as a regular conditioner, so again - don’t try this if your hair likes moisture (reach for the SmartCurl Hydrating Conditioner and/or SmartCurl Leave-In Conditioner instead).

"This product is like a gel and cream in one with medium hold. It is thin, but not runny. It feels as if you’re not even putting anything in your hair when you apply it because your hair just soaks it in. But don’t be fooled!


It is a little hydrating, doesn’t give you a cast, and imparts some shine and definition. It provides a good amount of volume especially when following the InstaVolume Cleansing Treatment & Volumizing Elixir. It can be used alone, but I prefer to add WonderBalm on top for extra softness, definition, and ultimate shine. I get the most volume when using this styling product.
