Inside UltraRepair's Clean Bond Repair Formula

Inside UltraRepair: our clean bond repair mask, ingredient by ingredient
At EVOLVh, we believe clean haircare should outperform, not just behave. UltraRepair Bond Repairing Masque is our proof. It brings seven targeted actives into one clean bond repair mask, each chosen for what it does inside the strand and for where it comes from. Here's a look at the formula and the science behind every ingredient.
How EVOLVh formulates clean bond repair
Our formulation philosophy is simple: every active has to earn its place with measured results. We look for first-of-its-kind ingredients built through green chemistry and biotechnology and then pair them so each one handles a different part of the repair.
The bond builders: TeraBond™ and FiberHance™ BM
-
TeraBond™ (Aspergillus Ferment and Arginine): Born from natural fermentation and paired with the amino acid arginine, TeraBond™ reconnects broken disulfide bonds, the strongest links in the hair's keratin. In a Raman spectroscopy study at the Textile Research Institute in Princeton, New Jersey, it repaired 50% of broken disulfide bonds in bleached hair. In a separate wash test on dyed hair, treated strands showed no visible color runoff.
- FiberHance™ BM (Hydroxypropyl Gluconamide and Hydroxypropyl Ammonium Gluconate): Derived from glucose, a plant sugar, through a zero-waste green manufacturing process. Where most strengthening ingredients stay on the surface, FiberHance™ BM penetrates into the cortex and builds new hydrogen and ionic bonds. In its developer's fatigue testing, it made hair up to 3x stronger than untreated hair.
The strengtheners: Restart PRO 1695 and Creatine
-
Restart PRO 1695: A biotech complex of itaconic acid, arginine, pro-vitamin B5 and polysaccharides from linseed and chia seeds. It forms cross-links that reinforce the keratin matrix of chemically damaged hair. Its developer measured up to 9.9% greater strength, up to 29% more shine and 19.5% easier combing.
- Creatine: Works alongside Restart PRO 1695 to reinforce the keratin matrix, strengthening the fiber and reducing breakage.
The barrier and shine complex: Hairflux®, AminoSensyl™ and ProShine®
-
Hairflux®: An olive-derived ceramide blended with plant oils to replenish the lipids damaged hair loses. On bleached hair, a conditioner with 1% Hairflux® reversed about 75% of the extra swelling bleach caused, so strands hold their shape wash after wash.
- AminoSensyl™ and ProShine®: Support the cuticle barrier, improve detangling and deliver a glossy, silicone-free shine.
Silicone-free shine, by design
Silicones are often used for instant slip and gloss. We wanted shine that comes from healthier hair. In UltraRepair, Hairflux® smooths the cuticle with plant lipids while AminoSensyl™ and ProShine® add slip and reflective gloss, so hair looks polished without buildup.
Every EVOLVh formula is free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, silicones, gluten, synthetic fragrance and GMOs, and is vegan and cruelty-free.
How it all comes together
Together, these actives form our 4 layers of repair: bonds, keratin, fiber and barrier. You feel the formula working as you rinse. Hair slips through your fingers, combs out easily and dries soft, strong and glossy.
